Every brand begins with a question. Mine began with “Why are talented students still unprepared for the real world?”

Hi, I’m Mahesh — a Brand Strategist, Marketing & Branding Professional, and the founder of Unfold Studios, a Media & Marketing Agency, in collobration with Pi Studios, a professional Photography Studio. This is not just my journey. This is the story of how skills, branding, and purpose came together.

The Moment That Changed Everything

While I was still in college, I attended an interview along with my friends.Ten of us appeared.Only I was selected. That moment stayed with me — not because I was chosen, but because I saw something deeper: There was a skill gap. Talented students, but no real-world exposure. That realization became the seed of my first idea — Skillbee.

Skillbee – An Idea Before Its Time

Skillbee was born with one goal: to bridge the gap between education and industry skills.

My plan was simple:

• Build a website

• Approach colleges

• Conduct workshops

But reality hit hard.

I wasn’t a known name. I didn’t have an online presence. Colleges didn’t open doors easily. That’s when I understood a powerful truth:

People don’t trust ideas first. They trust brands.

Freelancing Days – Learning the Real Game

Before building a brand, I became one.

I freelanced — designing posters, creatives, and digital assets.This phase taught me discipline, client handling, and consistency.

Then came a turning point. I landed a client from Canada — Silk by Moon.

A Canada-based brand importing Kanchipuram silk sarees.

• I redesigned their logo

• Built their website

• Delivered with full professionalism

They loved the work and even asked me to manage their social media. I declined — only because of time zone challenges.

But that project gave me something more valuable than money:confidence that my skills were globally relevant.

Unfold Studios – Building a Parent Brand

With clarity and courage, I launched Unfold Studios in December 25, 2022.

Unfold Studios became the parent brand — a foundation to build credibility, trust, and identity.

Around this time, I also:

• Worked with Prasanna Consultancy Management (2022–23)

• Joined Pi Studios, where I learned photography and videography professionally

Pi Studios shaped my visual thinking. unfold Studios shaped my strategic thinking.

Together, they became powerful.
